Hello everyone, this is an add on to my previous article where i discussed what rrod was and how it occurred. Today i will tell you all my experiences with rrod and how i personally witnesses people fix them. Once the 360 over heats the solder melts and in certain areas of the console the solder melts, when this happens the x clamps separate causing internal damage. Another reason the other main problem is the gpu, the gpu is the graphics card and once you see freezing during your games this would be the problem. What has happened is the thermal past applied on the gpu has over heated and melted over other areas of the circuit board. Theses are the problems that cause rrod, obviously they can all be fixed but a lot of patience is required and if you have warranty its best off sending it to Microsoft. You may have in the past head that rrod only occurs to the Core and Premium versions of the Xbox 360 however, there is a chance they still can get a faulty gpu depending on how the console is used.
